Baccarat is one of the easiest casino games to learn yet compelling enough to keep you coming back. At Slot77, you can place three main bet types each round, each with its own payout and house edge.
Statistically the safest bet. A 5% commission applies on winnings (except at No Commission tables).
No commission charged. Full 1:1 payout. The second-best choice mathematically.
Attractive payout but rare. Only 9.5% of rounds end in a Tie – best kept as a small side bet.
10, J, Q, and K count as 0. Ace counts as 1. Cards 2–9 are worth their face value. Only the last digit of the total is used – for example, 7+6=13 counts as 3.
If you've ever walked into a land-based casino at Genting Highlands and seen a packed baccarat table, you know just how electric the atmosphere can be. There's something undeniably captivating about baccarat – the tension as the dealer turns the cards, the buzz of the crowd around you, and that rush of satisfaction when the Banker or Player hand you backed actually wins. At Slot77, we set out to recreate that experience online, but with added conveniences you simply won't find at a physical casino.
For a start, Slot77 offers over 28 active baccarat tables at any given time – far more than what you'd find at a physical casino with its limited seating. That means no waiting for a spot to open up. Just launch the app or browser, log in to Slot77, and pick a table that fits your budget – from general tables with a RM10 minimum bet all the way up to the Salon Privé VIP with bet limits of up to RM100,000 for selected players.
Many Malaysian players new to online baccarat worry about game fairness. A question we often get is: "Is it truly fair, or can the system be rigged?" The answer is straightforward – all Live Baccarat tables at Slot77 run on platforms from Evolution Gaming, Pragmatic Play Live, and Ezugi, all of which are independently audited. Every round uses real physical card decks shuffled at random in front of the camera, not a computer number generator. What you see on screen is exactly what's happening in the live studio.
One major advantage of playing baccarat at Slot77 over a land-based casino is easy access to hand history. At a physical table, you may have to memorise or manually note Banker and Player patterns. At Slot77, the Big Road, Bead Road, and Derived Road scoreboards are displayed automatically in real time. This helps players who follow pattern-based strategies make more informed decisions, even though mathematically each round is independent of the last.
One of the most-requested variants among Slot77 players is Squeeze Baccarat. In this version, the dealer slowly peels back the card from its corner, revealing the result little by little. It adds a layer of drama that is genuinely thrilling – imagine you've placed RM200 on Player and the dealer is inch by inch lifting the corner of the card that could decide your bet. Some players say this is the best part of baccarat, and we'd have to agree.
Speed Baccarat is built for players who hate waiting. Each round finishes in 27 seconds, compared to over a minute for standard baccarat. That means more hands in the same amount of time, and more chances to win within a shorter session. Many Slot77 players who squeeze in a game during lunch or on the commute prefer Speed Baccarat for exactly that reason – it's quick and no-fuss.
From a strategy standpoint, casino mathematicians have proven that the best bet in baccarat is Banker, with a house edge of just 1.06% compared to Player (1.24%) and Tie (14.4%). This means that betting consistently on Banker keeps your long-term losses lower than virtually any other casino game. Compare that to slots with a house edge of 2–5%, and baccarat is statistically one of the most player-friendly games on the floor.
That said, Slot77 does not encourage players to blindly follow betting systems like Martingale (doubling your bet after every loss). While the logic has some merit, systems like this carry significant risk and can drain your bankroll fast during a prolonged losing streak. A smarter approach is to set a daily limit, stick to a consistent bet size, and treat baccarat as entertainment rather than a source of income. Slot77 provides self-control tools on our Responsible Gaming to help you play within healthy limits.
For new Slot77 players who have never tried baccarat before, we recommend starting at the Ezugi Standard Baccarat table with a minimum bet of RM10. Play a few rounds, get comfortable with the pace of the game, and learn how to read the scorecard. Once you feel confident, you can move up to the Speed Baccarat table or try Squeeze Baccarat for a more exciting and challenging experience.
Each variant offers a slightly different experience and rule set – pick the one that best suits your playing style.
Baccarat in its purest form. 8 decks, standard drawing rules, tables with a range of bet limits. Suitable for players of all levels at Slot77.
27-second rounds, cards dealt simultaneously. Ideal for Slot77 players who want more action in less time.
The dealer slowly reveals the cards to build suspense. The most thrilling variant – and a firm favourite among seasoned Slot77 players.
No 5% deduction on Banker wins. Full 1:1 payout on all winnings – a lower house edge for experienced Slot77 players.
Add the Dragon Bonus side bet. Win up to 30:1 on a Natural or a win with a 4+ point margin. Available on selected Slot77 tables.
A private table with an exclusive dealer reserved for Slot77 VIP members. Betting limits of RM500–RM100,000, a premium atmosphere, and full privacy throughout your session.
Follow these four simple steps to start playing live baccarat at Slot77 in under 5 minutes.
Fill in a quick registration form with your username, password, and Malaysian phone number. The whole process takes under 2 minutes with no additional documents required.
Top up via Touch 'n Go eWallet, DuitNow, GrabPay, FPX (Maybank2u / CIMB Clicks) or Boost. Minimum deposit RM20, credited within 30 seconds.
Head to the Live Casino section at Slot77 and choose a baccarat table that fits your budget – from general tables at RM10 to VIP tables at RM100,000.
Choose Banker, Player, or Tie before betting time closes. The dealer distributes the cards and the result is announced immediately. Winnings are credited to your Slot77 account automatically.
Banker carries the lowest house edge at 1.06%. Even with the 5% commission, it remains the best long-term choice over Player or Tie.
A Tie payout of 8:1 may look tempting, but a house edge of 14.4% is extremely high. Use the Tie only as a small side bet, not your main wager at Slot77.
Before starting a session, set a loss limit (e.g. RM100) and a win limit (e.g. RM200). Once either limit is hit, stop – this is the best way to protect your bankroll.
Some Slot77 baccarat tables offer a free observation mode. Use it to familiarise yourself with the scoreboards and patterns before placing real money.
Check Slot77's promotions page regularly. At certain times there are cashback or rebate deals specifically for baccarat players – these can significantly boost the value of your play.
Understand the risks and rewards of each approach before you sit down at a Slot77 table.

"I've been playing baccarat at Slot77 for nearly a year now. The Squeeze Baccarat table is unlike anything else – it genuinely feels like sitting at a Genting casino. Video quality has never dropped even when I'm playing from Kelantan. Withdrew RM3,500 in just 6 minutes."
"No Commission Baccarat at Slot77 is hands down my favourite. No need to calculate commissions – it's easy to track exactly how much I've actually won. Speed Baccarat is great too; I can finish a whole session during lunch break. Customer service also replies quickly in Bahasa Melayu."
"Deposited via Touch 'n Go and it cleared within seconds. Played VIP Baccarat, won over RM5,000 that night, and the withdrawal hit my bank in under 10 minutes. Nothing else comes close in terms of speed and table quality. Slot77 is now my first choice."
